Shōhei Amamoto (天本 将平 Amamoto Shōhei) is one of the minor characters of Gingitsune series. He is the son of Shouzou Amamoto and Yoshimi Amamoto, the younger brother of Serika Amamoto, Fujino Amamoto and Kikuri Amamoto and the boyfriend of Yumi Ikegami who takes care of the cat named Mi-chan.

Etymology

• The name Shōhei means "leader, commander, general, admiral, or, and again, soon, from now on, just about" (将) (shō) and "level, even, peaceful, flat, board" (平) (hei).
• Shōhei's surname Amamoto means "heaven/heavenly, sky, imperial" (天) (ama) and "base, root, origin, source" (本) (moto).
