Saimaru (才丸, Saimaru) is one of the supporting characters of Gingitsune series. He is a 1500-year-old lion-dog and the messenger to the gods who guards the Shoubai Grand Shrine alongside with his brother Utamaru.

Unlike Utamaru, Saimaru's eyes are not covered and he wears white clothing.

- The name Saimaru means "talent" (才) (sai) and "round" (丸) (maru).
